I want to give my dog multiple supplements, is that safe?
Supplements can be taken together just like humans take vitamins simultaneously. But like humans, you don’t want to load up on certain vitamins and minerals. We always recommend sticking with the Multivitamin as a well-rounded daily supplement, but if interested in trying our other specific dietary supplements, it is safe to administer one Multivitamin, one Hip and Joint and one Probiotic to your dog. The manufacturer has told us that these three taken in conjunction with one another is safe. Refer to “How many chews per day?” question to determine how many is safe for your dog in one day.
How will these supplements impact my dog's digestion and feces?
Every dog is different. Most dogs can start using the product as directed and experience no problems. If a dog has existing GI problems, then start them out slow and build up over 2-3 days. Changes they may experience would be less firm stool, but if your dog is experiencing vomiting or prolonged diarrhea, we suggest consulting your veterinarian.
The container says store in a cool dark place, but my product was delivered in the summer. Is this an issue?
Supplements are stored in our temperature-controlled warehouse and will remain safe during the shipping process. Product left in direct sunlight for long periods of time may make supplements “sweat” but product is still safe to consume. For long term storage, placing in a cool and dry location will give supplements the longest shelf life. (18 months from purchase date.)
Humans with thyroid problems are told to stay away from Biotin. Is the same true for dogs?
Humans are only told not to take biotin when they are being tested for thyroid problems because Biotin interferes with tests results. So if your dog experiences thyroid issues, our supplements containing Biotin are still safe to consume.
