Snout Soother is an all-natural remedy made to heal dry, crusty, chapped, or irritated dog noses. Having built this nose balm from the ground up, we know every last ingredient that goes inside, and dog-gone are we picky! After all, a dog’s nose is an incredibly sensitive and important part of his or her life, and so to honor this we make sure every last ingredient is pure in quality. So many ingredients go into in any one product, leaving ample opportunity for things to go wrong, take for instance the recent dog food recalls out of China that terrified dog owners everywhere. I knew our product had to be different; in order to keep dogs safe we had to seek the source of every last ingredient. Due to the way certain produce is grown we quickly learned that buying organic is more important with some ingredients than others, in order to keep Snout Soother affordable we like to use organic products but only where it really matters.
We searched all over Canada, Spain, throughout the US—including Hawaii, and even as far as Ghana Africa to select the most natural, beneficial, and high quality ingredients for your beloved pets, and ours! While each product is beneficial in its own unique way, it’s when all of these ingredients are combined that the real magic happens. Our extensive research, guided by a blind obsession with dogs, has led us to create a soothing dog balm worth bragging about; not only does Snout Soother heal even the most chapped, dry dog noses, but it is also good for your dog down to every last ingredient!
Snout Soother Ingredients:
Many moons ago Shea Butter was declared amazing for human skin, yet it wasn’t until recently that the same properties were found to benefit dogs as well. Shea Butter soothes sore and irritated skin by naturally hydrating the surface. For dogs with light colored noses, Shea Butter also offers protection of SPF 9.
Organic Hempseed Oil
Hemp is an excellent source of protein containing Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. It is also packed with vitamins B1, B3, B6, B12, C, D, and E, along with Calcium, Fiber and antioxidants. Hempseed has also been linked to a strengthened immune system, which will ultimately improve the condition of skin, particularly sensitive skin like what is found on the nose.
Kukui Nut Oil
Kukui Nut Oil is stuffed full of many good fatty acids that have proven beneficial to the overall condition of skin. This nut oil actually increases skin cell regeneration, which allows the skin to better protect itself, and also reduce water loss.
Jojoba Oil is a neutralizing oil that originates from the Jojoba plant, growing in Mexico and the Southwestern United States. In honor of your canine’s sensitivity to smells, Jojoba Oil is added to reduce the odor of the other ingredients in our dog balm, Snout Soother. Jojoba is also a moisturizer and can help unclog skin follicles.
Sweet Almond Oil
Sweet Almond oil has been used for centuries to soften and moisturize dry, damaged skin. In doing so, almond oil helps balance the amount of moisture skin loses and absorbs.
Rosemary Extract is a powerful aromatherapy tool used to promote better digestion and circulation, pair this with Rosemary’s ability to strengthen capillaries and this ingredient actually helps keep dogs calmer while wearing the balm. Rosemary is also a powerful antioxidant that helps eliminate and protect dog noses from free radical damage to DNA.
Natural Vitamin E
Another powerful antioxidant, Vitamin E eliminates skin of free radicals that can otherwise cause damage. Pulled directly from the plant, Vitamin E is imperative to healthy cardiovascular function.
Candelilla Wax is one of the most important ingredients in our soothing balm for dry dog noses. Derived from the candelilla shrub, it is used to increase the effectiveness of the protective coating so that Snout Soother stays in place and does its job. A moisturizer in itself, candelilla wax is high in fatty acids and ester.
