• Does this Fish Oil smell?

  Yes; it’s real, natural Fish Oil, so it is going to smell fishy. You may smell this on the dog’s breath after eating as well, but it’s worth it given all of the great benefits it provides!

• Do I need to introduce Fish Oil slowly into my dog's diet?

  We recommend adding 1 pump (2ml) per day until you get to the recommended dosage. Adding too much too quickly may upset their stomach, as any food change does, but they should resume normal bathroom habits/consistency quickly. If your dog has an adverse reaction, like vomiting or loose stools, talk to your veterinarian.

• Is this Fish Oil sustainably sourced? How can you prove it’s made with real Wild Alaskan fish?

  Our fish oil is certified sustainable through a company called Orivo. Orivo confirms species and location of origin for a wide range of fish, so you can be sure the salmon and pollock used for this product is truly wild caught from Alaskan waters. You can find our products on the Orivo website by typing in the code on the label.

• Can this Fish Oil be used with other NDC products?

  Wild Alaskan Fish Oil can be used at the recommended amounts in conjunction with almost all of our supplements. For other supplements that use salmon oil as a main ingredient (like our Skin and Coat line), we recommend using half the recommended amount for each. We don’t recommend using this product in conjunction with our other fish oils because of the significant amount of overlapping ingredients.

• How does Wild Alaskan Fish Oil overlap with Skin & Coat Supplements?

  Both of our Skin and Coat Supplements use salmon oil as a main ingredient because of the great benefits it has on the skin. However, our Skin & Coat supplements contain other ingredients like Flax Seed, Chia Seed, and Vitamin C that are specifically targeted for skin health.

  Our Skin and Coat line is great for targeting skin health specifically. The Wild Alaskan Fish Oil will help with skin health, but has many other additional benefits for general health and wellbeing.

• What’s the difference between the Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil and the Wild Alaskan Fish Oil?

  Wild Alaskan Salmon are considered to be a limited resource specifically because they are wild caught. While this product includes Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil, it also includes Wild Alaskan Pollock Oil and Atlantic Salmon Oil, so it offers more diverse fish species and eases the burden on our supply chain, which means we can get product to you more effectively.

• Why do the all of the fish oil products have different nutritional values?

  Because these fish are sourced from different regions, they have different diets and therefore have a different nutritional makeup, even though they’re using similar fish species.

• What does the ORIVO seal on this product signify?

• Is this Fish Oil human grade?

  Our Fish Oil is not registered with the FDA to be consumed by humans - it is for animal use only. However, it is processed in an FDA-registered, USDA-registered facility so you can ensure you are receiving the highest possible quality.

• What is the shelf life?

  This product is good for 18 months after the manufacture date, but is best when used within 45 days of opening.
