The PawTection Challenge Continues: Learn How To Protect Dog Paws

Want to pawtect your pup’s paws?

PawTection is the all natural way to protect dog paws!

The PawTection Challenge Continues with three more pawesome Instagrammers, @lifeofscout_, @bellethenewfie, and @eddthepug! Our mission is simple: Help protect as many dog paws as pawsible. Our all natural, vegan and organic PawTection does just that, providing a protective barrier against the elements and your dog’s paws.

Go ahead, call your dog over and take hold of his or her paw. Is it smooth to the touch or rough and cracked—like your heels after you miss a few months of pedicures? Your dog’s paws are tough but they are not tough enough to stand up to hot pavement on a summer’s day, or long runs on sandy beaches. Hence why your dog’s paws are rough and damaged. If you don’t protect dog paws, rough paws can become painful, cracked and infected.

While dog shoes are great for a hilarious Instagram video, they’re not exactly practical nor do dogs tend to like wearing them. No shoes necessary, PawTection provides seamless protection against:

  • Hot surfaces
  • Harsh elements (salts, ice, snow, rough terrain, etc.)
  • Contact allergens (mold, pollen, grass, etc.)

As part of our PawTection Challenge, we sent PawTection to some of the doggone biggest Instagram stars out there. Here’s what happened when these 3 cutie-pies gave PawTection a try!

Edd of @eddthepug

With over 100,000 Instagram followers and a little French bulldog brother (@archie_thefrenchbulldog) to look after, Edd the Pug lives a rather busy life. This popular pug spends a lot of time at the beach, and as we’ve said so many times before… sand is ruff on paws. It’s important to protect dog paws or else they are sure to get cracked and “scaly,” just like Edd’s.

Edd’s humom Andrea writes, “PawTection is amazing, we walk mainly on the beach where there is a lot of shingle, sand, salt and stones that are rough on a dogs paws, but pawTection is soothing and moisturizing. We have been using it before our walk and as you can see the difference it’s made in a few short weeks. The feel of the paw has changed too, it’s not dry or cracking and doesn’t feel scaly now. We will be using it to pawtect our paws from now on!”

Scout of @lifeofscout_

Scout is a future therapy dog and beloved golden retriever with 27,000 followers to paw! Golden retrievers are ACTIVE and Scout’s paws showed clear signs of her nonstop activity. In fact, Scout’s rough paws led her humom Korrin to reach out to us.

“We originally reached out to The Natural Dog Company hoping to find a product that would help the roughness of Scout’s paws. Every time she pawed at us it felt like sand paper. I fell in love with the natural ingredients and the amazing reviews about the company. A cruelty free, veterinarian recommend, all natural and organic product… sign us up! It smells amazing and we didn’t have any issues getting it on her paws. A very thin layer is all you need. We loved the consistency because she wasn’t able to lick it off like a cream and it settled extremely fast unlike a liquid. After the first day we noticed how much healthier her paws looked and how much it protected her paws while we were outside. Having something that is preventative is so important with all of the adventures we go on. Thank you Natural Dog Company for helping our little girl have healthy paws again!” —Korrin, Scout’s humom

Belle is an up and coming Instagram superstar and we can’t get enough of this massive Newfoundland—she’s so dang cute! Prior to using PawTection, Belle’s young paws were already starting to wear out. They become so irritated Belle was constantly licking and chewing at her paws.

“Her paws have always been dry and rough due to always going from in and out of water to dry land… I would always watch her bite her paws and I never understood why she did that. Ever since applying the product [PawTection] I haven’t seen her bite at her paws once! I would not hesitate in recommending these products to our friends and followers.” -Angel Saucedo

Maddie’s mom Tara Thompson writes, “For some reason her pads are not tough enough for it. She always ends up with pieces of her pads ripping off, which leads to her licking and biting at them making it more irritated than before.”

Before & After Review Highlight: Snout Soother for Bridging of the Spine (Spondylosis)

It is a sad fact that as dogs age, they will become more susceptible to various health conditions. You are likely to outlive your dog, and that means that as he or she ages, you will have to face any number of issues that could make him or her uncomfortable, and react accordingly. Aging dogs are prone to many of the physical conditions that plague humans as well, including arthritis, bone loss, and loss of muscle tone. Another common issue is bridging of the spine, or spondylosis.

What is Spondylosis?

Spondylosis is a condition of the spine that is seen most often in senior dogs. It is a degeneration of the spinal disks that can result in bone spurs that create bridges between the vertebrae, hence the term “bridging of the spine.” It can inhibit your dog’s flexibility, and reduce mobility. Any breed can develop this condition.

spondylosis_deformans_dog_radiograph

Causes of Spondylosis

Although old age cannot really be termed a cause of spondylosis, it does occur most often in dogs age 10 and older. Some experts think that every dog, if it lives long enough, will develop this condition. Your dog could have a genetic predisposition to developing spondylosis. Other causes can be stress, lack of exercise, injury or poor nutrition.

Symptoms of Spondylosis

You may not notice symptoms until quite late in your dog’s life. The most common indications of the disorder are difficulty moving, sensitivity to touch, limping, and stiffness. You may even notice growths along the spine.

Treatment for Spondylosis

Most of the time, you will not know that your dog has spondylosis until the vet has reason to do an x-ray. The condition cannot be cured or reversed, but it can be treated. In serious cases, surgery may be needed to remove the bone spurs. In less serious cases, your vet may simply recommend a pain medication to be used as needed. Overweight dogs may experience some relief if they can drop a few pounds.

Exercise is also recommended, and one of the best exercises is to take your dog swimming. It is one of the best low-impact exercises for both people and dogs, so if your dog is not afraid of water, suit up and get in the pool with him.

Spondylosis and Dehydration

A side effect of Spondylosis can be dehydration, so make sure that your dog has plenty of fresh water to drink. Dehydration can cause dryness, cracking and bleeding in your dog’s snout which just adds to the discomfort. To prevent dryness, or sooth it if it happens, Snout Soother from Natural Dog Company can make your aging dog much more comfortable. Here is a review from a satisfied owner of a dog with spondylosis:

Processed with Rookie

“Sending well wishes and thanks for an absolutely amazing product!! Pictured below is my Golden Retriever/Border Collie Mix who just celebrated his ninth birthday on June 12th. Buddy suffers from bridging of the spine where occasional meds & steroid shots are needed which causes dehydration (as you can see in the “before pics”) resulting in extreme cracking and drying out of his poor snout. I previously tried several products (GNC DOG ESSENTIALS: Nose Care” which I purchased from PetSmart, I cannot remember the other brand before that one) which did nothing for poor Buddy’s nose. I purchased the Snout Soother & Paw Soother and I am absolutely thankful for both. Thanks again for developing amazing products.”

– Rebecca

Virginia Beach, Virginia

Conclusion

Bridging of the spine can be a debilitating condition, and one that can break a dog owner’s heart. No one wants to see their best friend having difficulty with movement, or unable to play joyously the way he once did. Fortunately, there are treatments available for spondylosis that can help your dog to enjoy his senior years longer. The dehydration that goes hand in hand with spondylosis can also be eased by ensuring that fresh water is always available, and by treating a dry snout with an all-natural, vegan remedy like Snout Soother from Natural Dog Company.

One thing you will never have to worry about as your dog ages is not seeing the love in his or her eyes. Give that love back by taking extra care of them in their senior years.

Protect Your Dog Against Dry, Rough Paw Pads With PawTection!

photo 1-5

Hot concrete, warm sand, and ice-cold snow can all contribute to rough, dry paw pads.

Take a moment to feel the bottom of your dog’s paws. Are they smooth, or rough and cracked? Wherever your dog goes they rely on their paws to take them there, and while paw pads are incredibly sturdy they are surely not invincible.

Long walks, sandy trails, hot concrete, and snow are just a few of the common causes of rough, scratchy paw pads. Many dog owners chalk it up as normal, but if your dog does not have smooth paw pads they could be experiencing discomfort. You want to ensure your dog’s rough, dry paw pads are given the proper moisture as well as protection. That’s where PawTection comes into the picture.

The latest addition to our line of all-natural dog products, PawTection is here to help sooth dry paws, as well as provide an all-natural barrier against further damage. It’s the wax base used in the balm that locks in moisture and provides a layer of protection against the elements.

So does it really work? According to customer reviews PawTection has made a host of humans, and most importantly canines, incredibly happy. One of these happy customers comes all the way from Tavagnacco, UD Italy; Bicciato Maurizio writes to Natural Dog, “Great! The pads are very soft.”

And all the way across the globe in Edmonton, AB Canada, Nichole F writes about PawTection, “My bulldog mix has dry paw pads. I have just started using it and can already see a difference. I am hoping it will keep his paws soft and protect them thru the long snowy winter ahead! I am using this along with the Paw Soother product. Defintily will be re-buying once I run out!”

shutterstock_86349355

Your dog may love playing in the snow but it can cause a lot of wear and tear on their paw pads.

Many of our customers are waiting to use PawTection during the winter when paws, and skin of all types, are most prone to drying out. Think about your own epidermis during the coldest months of the year, your hands get rough and your skin needs ample amounts of lotion. A few different reasons contribute to dry paw pads, for instance you don’t walk around on bare hands and feet all day, but the same premise occurs to dog paws when the weather turns icy.

You can’t just apply any lotion to your dog’s paws, dogs are sensitive and deserve extra special care. Dogs lick their entire bodies, paws included, which is why non-organic ingredients can cause many internal issues for your precious pup. PawTection is made with carefully sourced ingredients that are just as good for your dog’s insides and outsides.

Chesley Glassco, from Winchester, Tennessee, writes about PawTection, “I have only used the PawTector a few times, because I am saving it more for our winter months when my gsd will need it the most! But works wonderful as expected.”

Chesley isn’t the only one stocking up on PawTection for the harsh winter months; plenty of other pups around the world will enjoy a winter with smooth, strong paw pads, sans the discomfort associated with rough, dry skin.

Your dog is a true warrior, give them protection where they need it most!

Colette Stoddard from Farmingville New York was hesitant about trying PawTection at first, and so she only ordered the sample size to try on her dog. After applying the product to her dog’s rough paw pads she is now a believer. Stoddard says, “This product is well worth the money.”

We can’t help but agree! After all, we work hard to provide a product that is carefully sourced, all natural, 100% effective, and always affordable.

Treating Hyperkeratosis in Dogs

chase-boxer-hyperkeratosis

Chase’s nose started showing immediate improvements once Snout Soother was applied to his sore, flaky dog nose.

Does your dog’s nose continually become rough before cracking? If so, it’s a possibility that your dog has hyperkeratosis, a disorder that can impact a dog’s nose and also their paw pads. Rough to the touch, this disorder can also cause your dog a lot of discomfort. Some dogs are born with it, while others develop it with age; it’s not uncommon for older dogs to suddenly develop hyperkeratosis. Think of your own feet when they have calluses, some calluses can even become very painful, and they never clear up if they are simply ignored. The same goes for dry dog noses, which thicken until they crack, and without proper nourishing treatment bigger problems will result. Such as, a dog’s nose breaking off and bleeding, leaving open wounds, which can easily become infected. Thankfully, even though canine hyperkeratosis is toted as a life-long disorder, there is a way to treat the symptoms and allow your dog to live a long life with a moist nose and smooth paw pads.

The Troubles Hyperkeratosis Can Cause

hemi

The top photo shows a dog with hyperkeratosis, the bottom picture shows the same dog after using Snout Soother.

We understand how much suffering pet owners go through as they try to diagnose and then treat hyperkeratosis.  Once identified, many veterinarians remain unable to provide any real relief to your dog, who is potentially in a lot of pain. Many dogs experience the majority of lesions on the top ridge of their nose; if these sores become large enough, some vets will routinely cut them off each time the chunks of skin build back up. Some admit to visiting the vet two times a week to have this procedure replicated; not only is this expensive, but it’s not doing anything to improve your dog’s nose health, it’s simply an aesthetic procedure. Dogs that suffer from hyperkeratosis of their paw pads can experience an equal amount of pain. In fact, if the lesions on their paws become bad enough, dogs will develop a limp.

Yet if you think about in simple terms, it seems the solution is not to cut away the dry and damaged skin, but to instead nourish and moisturize this cracked, peeling, and sensitive skin back to life. Using a special blend of all-natural ingredients, Snout Soother is created to do just that. We are proud to help dogs everywhere that suffer from hyperkeratosis, along with other nose-drying allergens and disorders.

Chase’s Testimonial

Chase the boxer knows what it is like to be afflicted by hyperkeratosis, in fact his entire family felt sympathy pains when they looked at Chase’s dry, cracking nose. When his nasal hyperkeratosis just wouldn’t clear up, they knew something had to be done. Thankfully, Cheyenne found her way to Snout Soother, and today Chase is looking and feeling his very best.

We recently received this testimonial from Chase and his family:

Chase is our third boxer and we have never experienced one with such a dry nose before! His poor nose was cracking so badly that fluff from blankets were catching on it and getting stuck. I came across the Snout Soother on Instagram and kept looking at all the before and after photos and knew I had to try it. I especially loved that it is all organic and natural. Ordered it online and it was delivered to my home within the same week. Applied it 2-3 times a day and couldn’t believe how quickly we saw results. On about day 2-3 little pieces were flaking off of the dry nose. By day five his nose was back to normal!! So happy!!! Thank you!!

Fighting Dry, Crusty Dog Noses: How Samson Got His Nose Back

crusty dry dog nose

Does your dog’s nose look dry and crusty like this?

When dogs have a chapped, dry or crusty nose they might appear to be fine, while actually in a world of hurt.

Dogs are the best medicine on the planet. They make us smile when skies are gray, and they always have a positive attitude, no matter what life throws their way. I wish I could be as happy-go-lucky as my dog, living in the moment instead of thinking endlessly about the past and future. But just because your dog wears a happy smile doesn’t mean they aren’t hurting. If your dog has a nose that is rough to the touch they need some relief, and fast! But how do you find an organic solution worthy of your perfect pooch?

Natural Dog Company originated out of a desire to help dogs everywhere find relief from nose conditions caused by anything from the weather to allergies. It’s hard to point out one single reason for crust to form on the dog’s nose. Some dog breeds experience these problems more than other breeds. For instance, we see so many bulldogs, pugs, and other short-nosed dog breeds that suffer from dry noses. Discoid Lupus in dogs causes the same crust on the nose. Collies, German Shepherds and Brittany’s are breeds that are most commonly affected by this disease. But that doesn’t mean every other breed of dog doesn’t come along with a dry nose here and there, because they most certainly do!

We are honored to have been able to help so many dogs win the battle against their dry snout. Each week we are THRILLED to continually receive amazing testimonials and photos, each one proving we are truly onto something, our product really does work!

Take Samson for example, he is not a short-nosed breed but he knows what it feels like to have a cracked, painful dog nose. According to his mom, the Omaha native enjoys using his nose as a garden shovel, which provides Samson with plenty of fun… but a very dry dog nose.

sampson before 2

Samson’s nose before and after Snout Soother

While Samson continued to dig at the dirt with his dry nose, his mom could tell by simply looking at the cracks and flaking skin that her sweet pup was in pain. Samson’s human mom, Amy Bailey admits to trying everything to heal her dog’s nose before finding Snout Soother. She says, “I was constantly applying petroleum oil, lotion, etc. in an effort to heal and banish the painful looking cracks in my dog’s nose. Nothing worked!”

Then, after only one application of Snout Soother Samson’s nose was on the woof to recovery. Within 8 applications his nose was 100% healed, and organically so! Amy was amazed, and Samson rather pleased.

Sampson Full body

With his crusty, dry nose cured, Samson is happier than ever!

Amy and Samson are not alone we hear similar stories ALL OF THE TIME! While Samson’s tale took a happy turn, trying an array of random products on your dog’s nose can do more harm than good. Human lotions, for instance, contain fragrances and unnatural ingredients that can further irritate and burn the sensitive skin lining your dog’s nose.

Dogs may appear ruff and tough, but they are extremely sensitive to their environment and the products we use on them. In fact, dogs are more sensitive to toxic chemicals than humans—but still, many products made for dogs contain loads of potentially harmful toxins. This is why so many folks are turning to natural products for dogs. But even if a product is listed as ‘natural’ you must carefully read the ingredients to make sure that it actually is.

Understandably, when your canine is in need all you want to do is find a solution to help. Especially since your dog’s nose is such an important part of their everyday life. It allows them to investigate the world around them, using their super-sonic powers to pick up scents the human nose would fail to recognize any day. For this reason, people will try just about anything to make their dog’s crusty nose turn smooth and moist again. Thankfully, the solution for dry dog noses is SO simple it’s Snout Soother!

Samson is one of thousands of dogs that now happily enjoy life with a soft and smooth snout. While he still enjoys digging up the garden with his nose, Snout Soother protects Samson’s skin, keeping it healthy and moist no matter how much dirt he gets into.

Axel before (left) and after (right) applying Snout Soother for a few days.

Bulldogs are especially prone to dry, crusty noses. Axel was no different. After all, bulldogs are a rather sensitive breed—although worth the extra care and worry because they are so darn cute! Snout Soother is especially beneficial for short-nosed breeds and bulldogs.

How To Heal White Crust On Dog’s Nose: Charlotte’s Story

Charlotte is a sweet and cuddly canine from California. Recently Charlotte started to grow mysterious white crusty chunks over the top of her nose. At a loss for what to do or how to help, Charlotte’s human-mom tried just about everything, until finally she found the all-natural solution to her beloved dog’s crusty nose problem.

Charlotte before

That’s me before the white crusty stuff on my dog nose was cured.

Woof, Woof, Nice to meet you! My name is Charlotte and I’m a sweet canine from California. One day I noticed my mommy do a double take of me before bending down to take a closer look at my nose. “What is going on here?” She asked, inspecting my suddenly white crusty dog nose.

“I don’t know…” I thought, helplessly looking back up at her. I knew exactly what she was scrunching her own nose up about. I could feel something different about my own nose, but all that I knew was that I needed a solution.

The white chunks growing atop my nose were uncomfortable. Not to mention, my mom looked worried every time she caught a glimpse of me it seemed. And then the experiments started. My mom sprayed me with me with something salty, rubbed this terrible smelling stuffed called ‘Neosporin’ on my nose, and the list goes on and on. I put up with it of course, I’m a good dog and I trust her. I knew that eventually she would find a solution to the white crust forming like unwanted crystals on the top of my nose.

One day a pretty blue packaged titled Snout Soother arrived. But I have to admit, when I saw it coming for me I thought with dread—“Oh-ruff, not again…” I couldn’t help but doubt it, nothing else had worked, why would this be any different? I just hoped this stuff didn’t smell bad or make my face burn.

The moment my mom spread the cooling balm over my nose I instantly felt better. I had no idea how quickly things were about to change. Within practically no time, those dry chunks on my nose were falling off. I could have pranced for joy all day. I remember the moment my mom noticed the difference I had been feeling, her eyes changed a bit and a big smile spread across her face—the biggest smile I had seen in a while! At that moment we both did a little victory dance.

Charlotte after

Here is a photo of my nose AFTER Snout Soother. The differences are unreal, no more dry crusty dog nose for me!

She couldn’t believe her eyes, and I couldn’t believe my nose! I forgot how great it was to smell everything with heightened clarity, to rub up against someone without feeling any discomfort.

From that moment on I held perfectly still for Snout Soother, allowing mom to spread the soothing balm on my nose whenever she wanted. And I’m so glad I did! Within one week my nose could smell better, it felt better, and it looked like every other smooth dog nose down the block. I was healed, cured, and normal again!

CHARLOTTESBEST

Charlotte’s dog nose before and after Snout Soother. Talk about a nose job!

My mom and I can’t say enough thanks to Snout Soother, in fact I’ll let her explain in her own words how much she loves the stuff!

Thank you for your cream . . . truly a miracle cream!! My dog’s nose was suffering from some kind of infection for about a month. I live in the desert and thought maybe she had been bit by something or the intense heat was affecting her nose. I had tried applying Neosporin, a natural dog spray, and salt water . . . but with no good results. After one application of your cream, the crusty white stuff fell off Charlotte’s nose and it began healing. After one week, her nose looked almost completely healed.

Thank you!!

Brutus Knows Best: Dry Mounds On Pug Nose Solved!

BrutusBefore4

Meet Brutus the Pug! See his crusty, dry pug nose? Thankfully Brutus no longer has a dry dog nose thanks to Snout Soother!

Brutus the Pug has a dry dog nose with rough mounds that surface and flake off, only to regrow again. His family is concerned, what will they do about his dry pug nose? They wonder if Brutus is in any pain from his canine nose condition, and the truth is he very well could be experiencing discomfort.

Then suddenly, one day, Brutus no longer had a notoriously dry pug nose! Instead he is now happily living it up with his new moist snout. So what brought about the sudden change in Brutus’ dry pug nose condition? All natural dog balm Snout Soother of course!

It’s not just parents that worry when their dog appears sick, some grandparents feel just as attached to their granddogs–as was the case for this lucky pug. His granpug knew something had to be done about his crusty dog nose condition, she was tired of continually seeing the dry chunks appear like concrete builders on poor Brutus the Pug’s nose.

Brutus gives all of the credit for his new smooth, moist snout to his grandpug, Katherine Koziesek. Katherine simply thanks Snout Soother–and oh dog are we proud to share her testimonial! After all, our mission is to save the world one snout at a time–looks like we did it again!

Brutus The Pug’s Testimonial

Dog Nose Condition: dog nose with dried out concrete boulder with gnarly stalagmite

brutusbefore

Before you can see the big chunks on Brutus’ nose, after only 3 applications of Snout Soother they are completely gone!

“We LOVE Snout Soother!!  I ordered the combo pack (2oz. and .25 oz travel size) for my Grandpug, Brutus.  Brutus’ pug nose was typical . . . It looked like a dried out concrete boulder with gnarly stalagmites growing along the lick ridge.  Snout Soother is AMAZING!  Started applying the Snout Soother, seriously . . . after just 9 DAYS, his nose now looks like a shiny black button!  After applying Snout Soother twice on day one, the stalagmites started to drop off.  By the end of day three, the last of the stalagmites were gone.  Now it’s nine days later (by day 5 his nose was as good a new) and with daily applications, his nose is moist and smooth and kissable.”

-Katherine Kozisek from Centralia, Washington

BrutusleavesDescribed as “stalagmite” by Brutus’ loved ones, this adorable Pug’s nose literally looked like so many other Pug noses–dry with jagged mounds growing atop. Yet after only a few applications of our all natural dog product Snout Soother, Brutus’ Pug nose began to heal, and grow back moist, smooth, and normal. While the outward appearance of Brutus’ canine nose was reason enough to worry, dogs can also become agitated from the discomfort of a dry or flaking nose. If the condition persists, a loss of smell can ensue.

Often dogs that suffer from dry nose ailments never seem to find relief, that is until you spread a cooling layer of Snout Soother over your dog’s dry, cracked, or sore nose. Instantly your dog will reap the benefits, and within a few days the results will speak for themselves. At Natural Dog Company, we care deeply about canines and wish all dogs to live a long, happy, healthy life full of treats, belly rubs, and healthy snouts–all the better to kiss you with!

Holly Moose! How To Cure Hyperkeratosis In 3 Days!

moosebefore

This is what Moose’s dog nose used to look like due to canine hyperkeratosis.

Meet Moose, he’s a busy dog always playing with the kids, going for rides in the truck, eating watermelon, or playing in the snow; around his house, Moose is the man. Despite all of the good times, Moose has suffered from a dry, crusty dog nose that continually flaked off in chunks. After being diagnosed with hyperkeratosis his loving family didn’t know what to do, nothing seemed to work! Approaching his third birthday, Moose’s family decided to try something new, and ordered all-natural soothing Snout Soother. Unsure what would happen at first, they spread a nice thick layer of the dog balm across Moose’s nose–what happened next some might call a “miracle.” Here at Natural Dog, we call it our mission to rescue the world, one snout at a time!

A dry, cracking dog nose can cause a whole litter of problems, at times it might even seem like there is no hope or cure for the flaking chunks that fall from your dog’s nose. Moose’s family can relate, they couldn’t believe their eyes when almost instantly Moose’s dog nose began to appear moisturized and healthy. They are so excited about Moose’s new dog nose after using Snout Soother for only 3 days they shared this pawsome testimonial with us…

Woof, Woof! Another Satisfied Customer

Dog nose fungus doesn’t sound pretty–and it sure isn’t! Just ask Beanie the Boxer, a dog who once had fungus growing on her nose causing a scaly, rough dog nose that was painful to the touch. That is until her mom discovered all-natural  Snout Soother for dogs, now Beanie’s dog nose is happily fungus-free.

We enjoyed Beanie’s testimony so much we wanted to share it with everyone. Hopefully Beanie’s experience with boxer nose fungus can help other dogs out there find the relief they so desperately deserve.

Beanie

This is the before and after Snout Soother photos of Beanie, a boxer that developed a nose fungus. Luckily her mom searched ‘Boxer Nose Fungus’ and found Snout Soother, now her boxer nose is healthy and fungus-free.

“We had a recent move across country and during that time I noticed our boxer, Beanie, had a rough looking patch on her nose. Since we were moving, I didn’t get a chance to take her to the vet and it got bigger and more irritated looking and she didn’t want it touched. I was worried it was some kind of fungus, so once we got settled in the new house, I googled “boxer nose fungus” and the first link was for Snout Soother.  I read through the testimonials and was very impressed so I placed an order. Within just 3 days of using Snout Soother, the rough, scaly skin was gone and her nose was looking shiny and healthy again. After a week of applying every day, I switched to once a week to maintain her new, beautiful nose!

“I just wanted to thank you for your awesome product! As you can see from the pics, you have another very satisfied customer! So glad we found you!”

Soothing One Snout at a Time: Treat Discoid Lupus with Snout Soother

dreamstimefree_69243

I love returning home everyday. Of course, we all eagerly await the end of a long workday when we finally kick off our shoes and relax but that’s not why I love unlocking my front door. No, I love arriving home because I am greeted with tail wags and happy dancing feet and sloppy kisses and more love than I could ever deserve. After all joyous “welcome home” elation dissipates, my pit bull rescue inquires, “what did you do today?” The details of my lunch date, morning meeting and afternoon coffee are revealed as Jumper carefully and methodically sniffs my shoes, my clothes, my handbag and just about anything else she can get her nose on.  Her nose is a portal into my day. In a few moments, she knows where I’ve been, who I’ve seen, what I ate and most importantly, if I saw OTHER dogs.

Dogs interpret the world through their noses – and their noses need care. Discoid lupus is just one of the conditions affecting our dogs most important communication tool.

What is discoid lupus? Discoid lupus is a condition similar to lupus where the body’s own immune system begins to attack the DNA in the body. Discoid lupus is usually limited to a dog’s nose, primarily on the nose leather, however it is also seen in the ears and inside the mouth.

When a dog has discoid lupus, the coloration of the nose fades as the nose leather loses pigmentation. As the condition worsens, the nose becomes cracked and scaling on the skin occurs. Eventually, the condition causes the nose to ulcerate which is extremely painful for the dog.

Treatment is often vitamin E therapy, however many dog owners recommend Snout Soother for suffering pooches. Snout Soother is a great all-natural product designed for soothing your pet’s dry, cracked, chapped and sunburned nose. The ingredients also quickly and effectively sooth sore skin and correct the degeneration of nose leather associated with Discoid Lupus.

Lola and Ralphie are two sweet pups suffering from discoid lupus. Check out their stories below:

Lola’s Story:

lola

Lola, an 8 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, suffered greatly from her discoid lupus. Her nose was ulcerated and painful sores formed on the mucus membranes of her nose. Poor Lola! Her wonderful owner, Alice Caplinger decided to try Snout Soother. Lola felt immediate relief after just one use! After two months of use, not only was Lola a happier dog, but she also sported a nice, healthy black nose – free of sores from the disorder.

Ralphie’s Story:

ralphie

Ralphie is a Great Pyrenees. In addition to discoid lupus, Ralphie suffered through sunburns and allergic reactions to the sunscreen prescribed by his veterinarian. After years of suffering, his owner, Kristine Zano, used Snout Soother and saw immediate relief to Ralphie’s sore, chapped and cracked nose. Within weeks, his nose healed dramatically. Ralphie was happy and Kristine was even happier.

A dog’s snout is their door to the rest of this big wide smelly world. Be mindful of caring for this important (and cute) part of their body. Try treatments like Snout Soother if your pup simply has a dry nose or suffers from more serious conditions like discoid lupus.

Long live wet dog noses!
